Polimaster

With increased technologies, more countries capable of producing nuclear power and the threat of radioactive and nuclear materials crossing borders as well as traveling into the hands of terrorist networks, portable radiation detectors have become a necessity.

Polimaster produces highly sensitive personal radiation detectors capable of searching for and locating various radioactive sources. These portable personal radiation detectors can detect both gamma and neutron sources; they are easily carried in pockets or clipped to a belt.

Polimaster's personal radiation detectors are:

It is designed to alarm about the minor changes of the gamma background in the controlled area as well as to locate radioactive and nuclear materials that caused alarm of the fixed-installed radiation monitors. It has such functions as the storing the history of operation in its non-volatile memory and its further transmitting to a PC through the IR-interface.
 

 

PM1401GN and PM1401GNA/GNB
The gamma-neutron monitor allows detecting and locating the similar amounts of the weapon plutonium and other neutron sources which cause alarm of the high sensitive fixed-installed radiation monitors.

 

Polimaster’s hand-held instruments and identifiers detect, measure, search for and identify radiation sources. In ensuring radiation control and safety, it is first necessary to detect and locate the sources of ionizing (tissue damaging) radiation. But in order to determine the level of danger caused by the substance for people and the surrounding environment it is also necessary to identify the exact type and nature of the source. Identifying the source allows police, emergency teams and other first responders to react quickly and correctly.

While these tasks are often solved by two separate instruments, Polimaster manufactures instruments that make it possible to perform both tasks successfully and simultaneously. These instruments are capable of detecting and locating any radioactive and nuclear materials while also measuring all necessary alpha, beta, gamma and neutron radiation. Additionally, these instruments measure gamma spectra and identify the radioisotope composition of a radiation source. The identifiers store the spectra in their memory to transmit the information to a PC through either an infrared or radio (Bluetooth) channel for further processing and identification.

These products are produced as hand-held instruments that come in a case and are easily clipped onto a belt or carried in a pocket.

It is a basically new instrument designed for performing all kinds of radiation control and monitoring. Being carried on a belt and operating in an automatic mode, PM1401K is one of the very small-sized and light-weight instruments which performs functions of: an alarming ratemeter, search and measuring instrument of alpha, beta, gamma and neutron radiation and identifier of the radioactive and nuclear materials.
 
PM1402M
The multi-purpose instrument-laboratory designed to ensure operation in the field conditions, to search for, measure the alpha, beta, gamma and neutron radiation, locate and provide express identification of the radioactive and nuclear materials.
 
PM1710/PM1710A and PM1710GN Hand-held monitors
The PM1710A gamma and 1710GN gamma neutron monitors have the highest sensitivity among hand-held search instruments. They are ideally suited for fast search and detection of traces of radioactive and nuclear materials.
